Colonie- Ervin W. DeMarco, 95, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015, at St. Peter's Hospital.
Ervin was born to the late Peter and Theresa DeMarco in Milwaukee, WI, on January 28, 1920. He and his family moved to Rensselaer, NY at the age of 10. Ervin worked for the American Meter Co., and he worked for N.Y. State until his retirement.
Ervin proudly served his country honorably in the U.S. Army 27th Division as a medic in the Central Pacific area during WWII.
Ervin is predeceased by his siblings; Helen Jolie, and David DeMarco.
Ervin is survived by his beloved wife Clara DeMarco, whom he married in Milwaukee, WI.
He is also survived by his children; Ross DeMarco, Carl DeMarco, and Theresa Dudek, his sister, Gloria Lambert, his grandchildren; Cara, Peter, Samantha, Lee, and Tyler, his great-grandchildren; Aiden, Colton, Harley, Dylan, and Thomas, family friend, John Malkiewicz, and a host of family and friends.
Calling hours will be held at First Lutheran Church, 181 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203 on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 9:00am-10:00am, with a service to immediately follow. Burial will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ervin's name to First Lutheran Church, 181 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203.
