ALBANY – Esmie Champagnie, 76, of Albany, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the St. Peter's Hospice Inn after a time of failing health.
She was born in Jamaica on April 25, 1945 a daughter of the late Christopher and Iva (Cousin) Champagnie.
Esmie came to Albany in 2006. She worked for Janitronics in Albany for several years before retiring. She loved to cook and travel. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
She was predeceased by a brother, Renford Champagnie.
Esmie is survived by her children, Barbara Brown, Francine S. (Courtney) Reid, Michael Webster and Veronica (Michael) Sutherland. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, her sisters Purlene Champagnie & Utrice Champagnie, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 12pm with a celebration of Esmie's life to immediately follow at 12pm on Saturday, November 27th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
