On April 2, 2019, Estelle Brewer's spirit was ushered into the presence of the Lord to join her beloved husband John, her baby girl Lynette and son Kevin.
Estelle was born on August 7, 1928 to the late Howard and Dorothy Deyo. She was married for 52 years to the love of her life John C. Brewer. She was educated in the Albany School System and upon graduation she was employed by Albany Medical Center Hospital where she retired after 30 years.
Estelle was blessed with seven brothers - one surviving brother William Hammond (Marlene), and six predeceased - Howard Deyo (Catherine), Eddie Deyo (Ruth), Johnny Deyo, Benny Deyo, Barney Deyo (Anna), and Ralph Deyo (Mary).
Estelle and John had seven children - Dorothy Brewer-Everett (Ernest), Jacqueline Ann Zanders (Ted), John Carlton Brewer (Diana), Kevin Mark Brewer (predeceased), Leonard Thomas Brewer, Lynette Marie Vice (predeceased) (Jake), and George Edward Brewer (Tara). They also have 20 grandchildren, 15 great grands, 5 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Estelle was also an adopted mother to four special daughters - Gloria Hessell, Gail Brooks, Terri Bourne and Lynn Marie Johnson.
Estelle enjoyed being home, watching General Hospital cuddling up with her favorite feline companion "Kitty-Bay". She also loved to dress, dance and loved music. But most of all, she loved family gatherings with all of her children talking about the fun, trails and tribulations of Second Street.
Mommy - you were a precious gift from God above, so much beauty, grace and love. You touched our hearts in so many ways, your smile so bright even on the bad days, you heard God's whisper calling you home, you didn't want to go and leave us alone. You loved us so much, you held on tight. Till all the strength was gone and you could no longer fight. He had called your name twice before, you knew you couldn't make him wait anymore. So you gave your hand to God and slowly drifted away, knowing that with our love we will be together again some day.
We love you mother, we honor you and will miss you, even though you will always be with us, in our hearts, our voice, our smiles and in spirit.
To God Be the Glory.
