Esther Clifford

MENANDS, NY – Esther L. Clifford, 85, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Hamilton and Helen Myers. Esther was a long time resident of North Albany and Menands. She worked at O.T.B. in Menands, retiring in 1992. Esther enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was the beloved wife of the late John D. Sheehy, Sr. and John J. Clifford, Jr. Esther is the devoted mother of John D. Sheehy, Jr. of Menands, Ellen (Robert) Griffin of Greenwich, Susan Dube of Albany, Mary (George) Daniels of Menands and Catherine (Joseph) LaVigne of Albany. She is the cherished grandmother of Colleen Culbertson, Lynn Hughes, Robert Griffin, Jr., Christopher Griffin, GYSGT. Stephen Griffin, Jason Dube, George Daniels, Jr., Lisa Daniels, Michelle Evans and Joseph LaVigne, Jr. She is the loving great-grandmother of Rebecca, Alexandra, Victoria, Matthew, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Joshua, William, Lynsey, Brady, Carson, Gracie, Jeremy, Rachel, Sarah and Jacob. Esther was predeceased by her sister, Alice Myers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 9:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Albany.
