ALBANY – Esther P. Stilson, 92, formerly of Sandy Hook, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 7, 2011 at the Teresian House in Albany.
She was born in Osage Township, Missouri and was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Annie L. Welch Reed. Esther was predeceased in 1992 by her husband Merwin L. Stilson.
She is survived by her devoted granddaughter and caregiver, Kimberly Bowman; her children, Merwin Stilson of Chatham, NY, David Stilson of Wallingford, CT., Terrence Stilson of Alvarado, TX, Sharon Zilinek of Bethel ,CT., Leslie Stilson of Latham, NY and Jill Stilson-Hemberger of Sandy Hook, CT. Esther is the sister of Gladys Grant of Charlotte, NC. Esther is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Special thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff at McAuley Residence and the Teresian House for helping make the last three years of Esther's life happy and meaningful.
