Ethel A. Szesnat

ALBANY- Ethel A. Szesnat, 84, died Friday, October 7, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. She was born on August 3, 1927, the daughter of the Late Ada (Feiden) and Robert Hellwig.
She retired as a clerk for NYS Department of Motor Vehicles located in Albany. Ethel enjoyed knitting and crocheting and spending devoted time with her Grand and Great Grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of the Late Edward Szesnat, Sr. Loving mother to Edward (Mary) Szesnat, Jr. of Albany. Devoted sister of Jane Casey of Colonie and Robert Hellwig of Ocala, Florida. Cherished Grandmother of Albert (Nicole) Szesnat, Kenneth (Lisa) Szesnat, Kristilyn Szesnat, Gary (Trish) Washburn, Jr., Angela (Mitch) Post, David (Tina) Washburn, Brian (Traci) Washburn, and Robert Washburn. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Besides her husband she was pre-deceased by her daughter Jane Ann Washburn, a grandson Edward J. Szesnat, III, a sister Mabel Bender and her brother Frank Hellwig.
Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Tuesday October 11, from 4:00-8:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 8:00am from the Funeral Home thence to St. Pius X Church, Loudonville where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Entombment to follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
