ROTTERDAM – Ethel C. Kingsbury, 92, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 23, 2012. She was born in Albany, NY and was the daughter of the late William Moore and Emma (Nussbaum) Moore. Ethel Loved the Lord and was a longstanding member of her church, teaching Sunday School for many years. She was a gifted poet and artist and brought joy to the hearts of so many with her songs, her sense of humor, crafts, jokes and stories. She loved her family dearly and will be missed greatly.
Ethel was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 yrs., Herbert R. Kingsbury. She is survived by her children: Robert R. (Linda) Kingsbury of Ballston Spa, twins Donnie E. (Lorraine) Kingsbury of Niskayuna and Diane E. Kingsbury of Troy and David H. (Kathleen) Kingsbury of Colonie; her grandchildren, Tina (Chris) Webster, Aaron (Mindy) Kingsbury, Sarah (Matt) Wolcott, Bethany (Herrington) Placides, Steven Kingsbury, Jeannette (Patrick) Sparr, Paul Kingsbury, Chantelle Kingsbury, Kimberly (Tom) Hamilton, Kelly (Joe) Salvione, Michael (Heather) Kingsbury and Melissa (Chris) Brown. Ethel was also blessed with twenty great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ameila Moore, Alice Moore, William Moore, Kathryn Kluke, May Moore and Raymond Moore.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Ethel C. Kingsbury.
