Troy- Ethel Anne Post, 78, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, October 22, 2021 with her loving family by her side. Ethel Anne was the daughter of the late Rodmond and Gladys Fox. Ethel Anne was the devoted wife to Richard W. Post. They were married 57 years.
Ethel Anne was a kindergarten teacher at School 14 in Troy. She was an active member of Mt. Ida Community Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, directed Junior Choir, was involved in Women's Ministry and the Missionary Society. Ethel Anne enjoyed writing for children and was a gifted story teller, especially the elf stories she crafted for her own children.
Ethel Anne is survived by her children, Deborah (Thomas) Bevevino, Kevin (Kelly) Post, Rebecca (Eddie) Liga; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Miranda) Bevevino, Laura (Ian) Bevevino-Dugan, Joshua (Ashley) Bevevino, Christopher Bevevino; Anthony and Nathan Liga; her great grand children, Rosie Dugan and Jude Bevevino; and many loving relatives and friends.
Ethel Anne is predeceased by her brother, Thomas Fox.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Hoosic Valley Community Church, 2024 NY-40, Schaghticoke at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow the service in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville at 1:00 PM.
