Eugene F Schissler, Jr, "Mr. Klean", 50, passed suddenly on February 3, 2007.

Gene was born on February 6, 1956 to Joan (Morawski) Sichler and the late Eugene Schissler, Sr. In addition to his parents, Gene is survived by his loving wife Bonnie, his son Erik Schissler, his daughter Kara Schissler, his grandchildren Karina and Joshua, his sisters, Gail (Scott) Moule, Sharon (Bill) Ferris, and Lynne Camileo, his step-father, Richard Sichler, and his nieces and nephews, Vinnie, Chantal, Nikki, Gina, Billy, Scott and Gianni, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Gene was a gentle man and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, big brother and friend to his family and all those who knew him.

Gene retired from the Carpenter's Union, Local 370, and was most recently employed by DePaula Chevrolet in Albany. He was also an avid fisherman and animal lover, and with his wife, was actively involved in the Greyhound rescue program.

Gene will be lovingly remembered for his quiet and gentle manner, his great ability to tell a story, his dancing and love of music, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, including his two greyhounds Rebbi and Baby.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Greyhound Rescue of New York, PO Box 1527, Clifton Park, NY 12065, in memory of Eugene F.
