Eugene Lubinski
July 3, 1932 — October 1, 2017
Albany- Eugene Lubinski, 85, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Eugene was the son of the late Zygmund and Edna Lubinski. Eugene was the devoted husband to Marilyn Jean Lubinski. They were married 57 years.
Eugene graduated from Union College with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering in 1954. He then served in the US Army from December 1955 to November 1957. Eugene worked for the NY State Department of Public Works from 1954 to 1966 and he then worked for the NY State Department of Health as Assistant Director of Data Processing from 1966 to 1991 when he retired. Eugene enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Eugene also enjoyed traveling along the east coast.
Eugene is survived by his children, Deborah (Jeff) Mailhotte and David (Valarie) Lubinski; Maureen Apjohn; grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, and Matthew; great granddaughter, Madison Marie; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Eugene was predeceased by his brothers, Edward, William, and Henry; and his sister, Rita
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave, Albany, NY at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY at 12:30 pm.
