Eugene Staley

ALBANY- Eugene (Wilsie) Staley, 84, entered into eternal life on Friday April 16, 2010 at the Stratton VA Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of the late Paul and Lula Tyler Staley. He is the beloved husband of Ida Mae Staley. Loving father of Ara Mae, Tyrone, and Mel Staley of Albany. Brother of Ruby Smith and Rev. Matthew Staley of Wagner, South Carolina and Rev. John Staley of South Ozone Park, NY. He is the grandfather of Jalin and Zorrion Staley of Troy. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Rita and Denise Landy and Brother Jimmy Howard for being there, and the nurses and doctors at the VA Medical Center for their care during Eugene's illness.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 12 noon at Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church, 159 Spring Street, Albany. Calling hours will be Thursday at the church from 10 am to 12 noon.
