ALBANY – Eugenia (Jean) Dugan, 72, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2007 at her home. Born in Albany, she is the daughter of Anna Vadney and the late Russell Vadney. Jean was predeceased by her husband, John A. Dugan. Jean is survived by her long time companion, Walter F. Gries. She is the mother of Catherine (James) Nasser and Patricia (Charles) Eysaman. She is the grandmother of Jason M. (Erica) Reedy, Megan Eysaman and John Eysaman and great-grandmother of Taylor Michael Reedy and Jayden Thomas Reedy. She is the sister of Russell (Sylvia) Vadney and Barbara (William) Picard. She is the sister-in-law of William (Jean) Dugan. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and her beloved feline companion, "Gypsy." The family would like to thank the caring staff of Community Hospice of Albany for the care and support given to Jean during her illness.
Funeral services will be Friday evening at 7:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Jean Dugan.
