MAPLEWOOD – Eva Kendall, 94, formerly of Maplewood, died peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2005 at the Van Rensselaer Manor in Troy where she was a resident.
Born in Tauton, MA on June 4, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Bik) Zubal.
Eva retired from the Albany International in Menands as a joiner after many years of service.
Eva dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and a beloved grandmother and great grandmother.
Eva is survived by her sons, Richard W. Kendall of Latham, Robert W. (Resiha) Kendall of Fairport, NY.; her son-in-law, Robert B. Nelson of Troy; five beloved grandchildren, Brian W. Kendall of Lexington, KY, Carol Ann (David) Samuels of Denver, CO, Brenda (Tim) Alonzo of Troy, Bruce (Jennifer) Nelson of Delanson and Aynsley Summer Kendall of Fairport, NY; six great grandchildren, Zachary M. Samuels, Maya Grace Samuels, Cody T. Nelson, Rebecca M. Nelson, Oliva K. Nelson and Chase M. Alonzo; two sisters, Mildred Lebrecht of Albany and Ann Pirniak of Watervliet; a sister-in-law, Anna Zubal; a niece, Jean Ann McKeoun; a nephew, James Zubal and several great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Herbert W. Kendall, he died in 1979; a daughter, Joan Marie Nelson, she died on March 1, 2005; and two brothers, Michael and Anthony Zubal.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Van Rensselaer Manor for their love, care and attention provided to Eva.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be at Memory's Garden in Colonie.
