Evan M. Kvinlaug

COLONIE- Evan M. Kvinlaug, age 21, died tragically on February 3, 2025.

He was born in Niskayuna, the son of Jeffrey Kvinlaug and Tracey Garb.

Evan was a graduate of Colonie High School. He was an Electric City Riders member and was a Fuller Road Volunteer Fireman. He was currently a self employed Truck Driver. He was formerly employed by Abele, Colonie Garage and Cyprus Pools.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends. Evan was proud to be a fireman.

Evan was a kind, gentle giant, who was always willing to lend a hand. He had a big heart and a great smile and will be greatly missed by many. He was adored by his nephew and cousins.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother Jason; nephew Enzo; grandmother Evalyn Kvinlaug; special friends, Eric-K, Sean and Dan, girlfriend Katie Harris and his dog Remington. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He is predeceased by his grandfathers: Martin Kvinlaug and Carl Garb, his uncle Martin A. Kvinlaug, uncle Scott Dorrance, and grandmother Joyce Clough.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Saturday February 22, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend his graveside service following at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 421 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
