Evelyn Booth

TROY – Evelyn Booth, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home. Born in Rensselaerville on August 29, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Jennie Osterhout Rider. Mrs. Booth lived in Glenmont for over 40 years before she relocated to Troy. Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late William E. Booth. She is the devoted mother of Eugene W. (Patricia M.) Booth, Barbara A. Smith, Judi Van Zandt and Susan DiDonna. She is the cherished grandmother of Todd C. Booth, Wendy Jones, Karen Mason, Steven Smith, Karen Lopes,Paul DiDonna, Sharon A. Lawson, Martha A. Hughes and John J. Kellner. Also surviving are seven loving great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at NewComer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
