Evelyn Brown

CLIFTON PARK- Evelyn F. Brown, 76, of Clifton Park, passed away on Monday October 29, 2012 at the Baptist Retirement Center in Scotia where she was a resident for one year.
She was born in Canton, NY and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Flora Peterson. Evelyn had worked as a home health aide for many years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Latham and Clifton Park. She enjoyed puzzles, traveling (Florida, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming ) and spending time with her family. She was pre-deceased by husband Vernon Brown, son Elvis Brown and five siblings Lloyd, Harold, Leona, Barbara & Charles Peterson.
She is the mother of Ernest (Joan) Brown, of Florida; Sheila Wheeler of Colonie; Vickie (Tony) Maiello of Latham. Grand & great mother of Ryann LaVigne, Jennifer Wheeler (Adrianna Van Alsteyn), Brett Wheeler (Morgan Wheeler), Ashley Wheeler and John Maiello. Step Grand & Great grand children Michele (Don) Kelafant (Tyler Haynor & Gabreille), Tony Maiello (Sophia); also survived by two sisters Dorothy Rivers of Ogdensburg, Helen Rivers of Richville and sister-in-law Dorothy Peterson of Governeur, several nieces & nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be Monday at 12 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in Vale Cemetery. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Evelyn F. Brown.
