Evelyn A. Godbout

Schenectady- Evelyn A. (Rea) Godbout, 93, passed away peacefully of natural causes with her loving family by her side on April 21, 2020. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Rea.
Evelyn was an avid reader and a passionate learner of new and exciting ideas. As a product of the Schenectady School System, Mrs. Godbout honed her mathematical and critical thinking skills, catapulting them into a long successful career at General Electric in Data Processing.
In her retirement Mrs. Godbout along with her loving husband of over 50 years Archille L. Godbout Sr. traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada. A highlight of their travels was a Transamerican Rail excursion from New York to California. She collected bells and loved doing puzzles of all kinds.
She is survived by her beloved three children, Cheryl A. Heil (Jeffrey), Paulette A. Cross, and Archille L. Godbout Jr. (Cynthia). She was the loving grandma to six grandchildren, Wayne Cross, Travis Cross, Rochelle Green, Brian Godbout, Brandon Godbout and Danielle Morales. She is also survived by her nine great grandchildren.
