Evelyn Kent

Altamont- Evelyn M. Kent, 77, was gracefully lifted into the arms of angels and brought to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 3, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family. Leaving behind the love of her life and devoted caregiver, husband, and best friend: Bill Kent. Evelyn was the daughter of the late William and Adeline Ridner.

Evelyn enjoyed ceramics, bowling, dancing, traveling, dining out with family and friends, family gatherings at her daughters house, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, being pampered, and getting her nails done and hair done. She loved laughing and sharing her beautiful contagious smile.

Evelyn will be forever missed by her beloved husband of 61 years, William Kent; sons: Timothy, Michael (Sharie), and William (Cheryl) Kent; daughter: Tammy (Antonio) Carnevale; grand children: Marc Kent, Jaenna Babajane (Hassan), Anthony (Jamie) Kent, Lynn (Charles) Graham, Corey, Kent, and Ashley; great grand children: Aria, Cadence, and Ronan Graham; sister: Linda Zimmerman; brother: William (Jeannie) Ridner; along with many other loving, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Evelyn will also be missed by her long time Beautician: Leslie Canfield; and dear friends: Phyllis, Statts, Donna Charlebois, and Lorrie and Michael Graham.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn is predeceased by her sister: Patricia Drumm, and daughter in law: Geri Kent.

Evelyn's family would like to thank, Dr. Judith Bodner and her staff, along with the Hospice team that was there for Evelyn and her family.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Sunday, July 10th, 2016, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 11th, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany, at 9:00 am, with the burial to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
