Evelyn R. Decker

Colonie- Evelyn Decker, 92, passed away Tuesday, January 20th, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospice surrounded by her family. Evelyn was the daughter of the late Frederick and Bertha Dedrick. She was the wife of the late Frederick N. Decker.

Evelyn enjoyed singing, bowling, tap dancing and spending time with her family. She was also a member of many organizations and groups in the capital district; Beltrone Senior Center, Kuhn Senior Center and the Sweet Adelines International.

Evelyn is survived by her two children; Sharon Shatraw (William) and Frederick N. Decker Jr; step children; Michael Decker, Mark Decker, Peggy Newcomb (Tim) and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the St. Peters Hospice Inn, 315 South Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208.

Calling Hours will be held Monday, January 26th 2015 from 6:00- 8:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Albany,NY 12205. A funeral service will be held the following day Tuesday January, 27th at 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens.
