COLONIE-Faith Quattlebaum, 78, of Albany passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Quattlebaum was born in Savannah, GA the daughter of Robert Ravenna, Sr. and Edith Cooper Ravenna and was educated in Savannah, GA. Later she moved to the New York City area, where she completed her education. She worked as a nurse. Mrs. Quattlebaum and her husband, Simuel moved to Colonie in 1965. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Albany and later joined Eighth Tabernacle Temple Bethel. Mrs. Quattlebaum had a heart of gold. She loved children and raising her family was her priority.
Mrs. Quattlebaum is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Simuel Quattlebaum of Colonie. She is the beloved mother of Cynthia N. Chambers (James, Jr.) of Guilderland, Sondra B. Quattlebaum (Ray) of Colonie, Carol A. Dawkins of Pomona, and Simuel Quattlebaum, Jr. of Westerlo. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, her sister Claudine Ravenna of Florida and a host of nieces, nephews and in laws.

Mrs. Quattlebaum is predeceased by her sister Edith Verdell Ravenna Moses, her brothers Robert Ravenna, Jr., Alexander Ravenna and David Ravenna and by a daughter in law Teri Biondo-Quattlebaum.
Calling hours will be held from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, December 21, 2012 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with the funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00 with Elder Nathaniel Quattlebaum, officiating.
Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hortense and Louis Rubin Dialysis Center, Clifton Park, NY in memory of Mrs. Quattlebaum.
