SCHENECTADY – Fannie Ciabotti, 95, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 3, 2013, with her loving and devoted daughter Diane, and son-in-law, Robert Drozinski by her side.
Born in Schenectady on October 6, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose Cuomo. Along with her parents, Fannie was predeceased by her husband, Louie Ciabotti Sr. and only son, Louis Ciabotti Jr. and her two sisters, Florence Cipriano and Lilian Ragucci.
Fannie is survived by her daughter, Diane and son-in-law, Robert Drozinski; her three grandchildren, Tina Zawisza (Matthew), Marisa Caprara (Robert), and Seth Ciabotti (Michelle); her four great grandchildren, Juliano, Mia, Nico, and Sophia Caprara; and her daughter-in-law, Annette Ciabotti.
Fannie loved her family and her pet cats' very much. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to all casino's to play the slot machines. Fannie's faith in our Lord always came first. We all love you Mom.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment will follow the service at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Fannie's memory to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302.
