Fay Platt

COLONIE – Fay Platt, 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany, after a long illness.
Fay was born on June 20, 1923 in Albany to the late Charles and Mahalica Prusik Lucas.
She was a member of the Lisha Kill Senior Citizens and the Home Bureau.
Not only was she Marc's mother but his friend and farming partner. She enjoyed painting, sewing, cooking and canning. Family was very important to her especially her grandson Gary.
Fay is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Mary Alice Platt; her grandson, Gary Platt; her sister, Lillian Hatlee, all of Colonie; her brother, Charles Lucas of Hyde Park and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer "Buck" Platt and her brother Ken Lucas.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Community Hospice of Albany or to the Heritage Home for Women in Schenectady in memory of Fay Platt.
