FEURA BUSH, NY – Felix Michalski, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at his home. He was born in Albany on June 19, 1927 and was the son of the late Thaddeus and Mary Ann Kruzel Michalski. Felix grew up on Third Street between Judson and Thornton Streets in Albany. He has lived in Feura Bush for the past 48 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country during World War II as an MP in Germany. After returning from the war he worked for Union Carbide on Colonie for 37 years before his retirement. Felix married Rosemary D. Plath on August 22, 1953 in St. Joseph's Church. They have six children, Steven, Mark, Philip, Kenneth, Sandra and Jason and are now grandparents of seven; Marissa, Sophia, Deidre, Jared, Ian, Austin and Adrian and one great-grandchild, Evan. Felix was the brother of the late Sophia Hewitt, Tadeus, Chester, and Henry Michalski. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Forest Park Cemetery, Brunswick.
