Fiore "George" Ansonia, 94, passed away on October 18, 2014 after a brief illness.
George was a proud Veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corp. as a plane mechanic in England, Scotland and Belgium.
He was born in Rome, New York and moved to West Sand Lake in 1953 to marry his beloved wife Ann.
He worked as a meat cutter for many years at Millers Market and several years at Gifford's Market. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, music, working in his vegetable garden and was a fantastic cook.
He also had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
He was predeceased by his wife Ann; his daughter Jean and granddaughter Stasia.
George is survived by his daughters; Janet Brust and Beth Ansonia, son-in-law Frank Robinson; his grandchildren, Isaac and Clint, great granddaughter Olivia, his brother, Joseph Ansonia as well as several nieces and nephews.
At his request there will be no services.
