Florence A. Archer

LATHAM – Florence Ann Archer, 80, of Latham, passed into Eternity on Wednesday, December 22, 2010.
Florence was born in Massillon, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Howard J. Jones Sr. and Helen Kratsch Jones.
Florence was a graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio where she received her BS degree in Mathematics. She enjoyed 25 years at their summer home on Hadlock Pond with family and friends. Florence was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection where she was the organist for over 40 years. Florence devoted her lifetime energies to her God, her family, and her friends.
Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Roger J. Archer of Latham; daughters, Suzanne d'Aversa of Guilderland, Connie (Chris) Fedden of Colonie, Linda (John) Moore of Pittsboro, NC, Alice Archer of Troy, and son, James (Sharon) Archer of Asheville, NC. Also surviving is her brother Howard J.(Marjorie) Jones of Clarence Center, NY; grandchildren, Cheryl (David) Fruiterman, David d'Aversa, Jon-Paul d'Aversa, and Marea (Ken) Wright all from Albany, Michael (Tara) Moore , Andrew Moore, Daniel Moore, Bradley (RaChelle) Archer, Rachel Archer, and Jerry Archer all of North Carolina, and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Robert d'Aversa.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 645 Watervliet-Shaker Rd. Latham, NY 12110.
