SCHENECTADY-Florence E. Amsler, 91, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2019.
She was born April 19, 1928 daughter of the late, Darwin and Florence Shatraw.
She was a member of the Lynnwood Reformed Church. Florence loved to sing and was a longtime member of Sweet Adeline's and most recently, Suburban Sound. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, a hard worker, and a wonderful woman who will be dearly missed.
Florence is survived by her son, Douglas Amsler, Sr.; grandchildren, Kimberly Fryer (Joshua), Douglas Amsler, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Bella Bradford-Amsler, Elaina Fryer, Angelo Amsler; sister, Vaughn Skarzynski; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was predeceased by her brother, Whalen Shatraw.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Albany, Ny 12205. Calling hours will be from 4-6pm prior to services. Private interment will be at Memory Garden's.
