Florence Josephine Brooks
July 18, 1939 — March 6, 2022
SCHENECTADY- Florence went home to the Lord peacefully at home with her loving family at her side on 6 March 2022.
Florence was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a loving wife for 61 years. Florence leaves behind three sons: James Jr., Anthony, David and her husband James, 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
Florence received a masters degree in mathematics from the State Teachers College in Albany. She worked as a teacher and mother raising 3 boys. Her big joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She spent as much time with her grandchildren as possible and enjoyed playing games with them and loving them.
Florence spent the last 17 years fighting the Alzheimer's Disease. She gave it a good fight.
Much thanks to Diana, Lucy, Ambika, and Kim for all the loving care they provide for Florence over the years.
A special thanks to Fr. Carlino for his spiritual support over the years.
