ALBANY – Florence "Sissy" Innes, 81, formerly of St. Sophia Apartments, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home.
Sissy was born on October 24, 1924 in Manhattan and was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary Stephens Quinn.
Sissy is survived by her brother, John (Jean) Quinn of Mansfield, OH and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Innes; her brothers, Frank, Edward, Vincent and William Quinn and her sisters, Mary Thompson, Virginia Cuozzo and Kathleen McDermott.
Sissy made many friends at Guilderland Center Nursing Home especially Gerry Chase, her roommate. A heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Guilderland Center Nursing Home for their loving care given to Florence during her stay there, and also to Community Hospice of Schenectady for the support they provided during her last weeks.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
