Florence M. Johnson

Colonie- Florence "Flo" M. Johnson, 85, passed away Saturday August 23, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Florence was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and William Hulett.

Florence took pride in being a homemaker for her family and was always there for her children. She was predeceased by her son Anthony Johnson and her sibling William (Sunny) Hulett.

Florence is survived by her soul mate of 68 years Ronald L. Johnson. She also leaves behind her children; Ronnie Johnson (Judy), Phyllis Bianchi (Richard), Carol Acker (George), Jo-Ann Johnson, Janice Garavelli (Fred), Joseph Johnson and Paul Johnson. Florence will be missed by her grandchildren Tammy Burnett, Richard Bianchi, Gail Greely, Tina Bertone, Traci Acker, Karrie Acker, Sarah Acker, Curtis Groff, Emily Garavelli, Samantha Garavelli, Jessica Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Keri Johnson. Florence also will be missed by her siblings; Robert Hulett, Laura Oathout, Eugene Hulett and her 21 great grandchildren.

Florence was dedicated to her husband and family and loved spending every minute with them. She loved baking, cooking and doing arts and crafts and enjoyed traveling. She had moved to Las Vegas after her husband's retirement and enjoyed 20 years of sun before moving back to be with her family. Florence had a kind heart and showed a lot of love for her animals and would even take in strays when they had nowhere else to go.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Community Inn Hospice of St. Peters Hospital.

The service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
