Florence M. Zielinski

Florence M Zielinski -passed away in Florida on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Born in Richmondville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Verla Ostrander.

Florence was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. She worked over 30 years for New York Telephone Company before retiring. In her retirement years, she worked part time for the Mallozzi Group and the NY Mets Spring Training concessions. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, travelling, playing golf and winters in Florida. Florence was passionate about her dogs. She loved the companionship of her shelties throughout the years.

Florence is survived by her longtime partner John Klonowski; her sons Ronald (Judy) Zielinski, Rob (Anne) Zielinski, and Randy (Tricia) Zielinski; grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Derek, Michael, Alexander and Courtney Zielinski; five great-grandchildren; sister Carol (Charles) Potts and predeceased by brother Maurice Ostrander Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 9am-11am at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205. A service at the funeral home will begin at 11am. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
