Frances E. Bazan, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2017 at The Community Hospice Inn with her loving family by her side.
Frances is the daughter of the late Frank and Wanda (Wojciechowski) Sloma.
Frances was the devoted wife of over 55 years to the late Edward J. Bazan.
She worked for 20 years with NYS Civil Service, she also volunteered with Mercy Care Life Center for many years.
Frances was a communicant of Christ the King Church.
She loved music, bowling and was an avid scrabble player. She also enjoyed walking, reading, watching the birds from her feeder and her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her siblings; Marie, Janet and Edward.
Frances is survived by her children; Stephen (Mary) Bazan, Catherine (Jack) Molloy, Barbara (Mike) Mullen and Carol Bazan. She is the adored grandmother of Carrie Sprinkle, Jaime Parslow, Katherine Bazan; Joshua and Jason Molloy; Bethanne Dempsey, Tara and Erin Mullen and Hayli Bazan and the cherished great grandmother of nine.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie on Tuesday April 11, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 9:00 am at the funeral home and then to Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave, Albany, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will follow the Mass at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
The parish family of Christ the King will gather on Tuesday at 4:30 pm at the funeral home for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome.
