SCOTIA- Frances M. "Fran" Biittig, 95, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Fran was born in Albany, NY to the late Ernest and Evelyn Cronk on October 29, 1921. On March 21, 1940 Fran married the love of her life, John Biittig. John passed away in 2012. They were married for over 70 years, and together they raised three children. Fran will be remembered for her love of baking, sewing, and vacationing in Florida with her husband. Her passion in life was her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Fran is predeceased by her loving husband, John, and her great-grandson, Agostino Jubrey.
She is survived by her children; Sharon (James) Booth, Jill (Jeffrey) Arnow, and Jack Biittig, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 11:00am-12:00pm, with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
Donations may be made in Fran's name to Community Hospice, 310 S. Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208.
