ALBANY- Frances Speranza passed away on August 3, 2016 at Albany Medical Center.
Frances was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Lostritto) Speranza.
Frances worked for over 40 years for the Times Union newspaper. She was known as "Aunt Frannie" to anyone who knew her. She loved to walk, loved to laugh and make those around her smile. She remembered everyone's birthdays; if it was your birthday without a doubt you'd receive the 7am phone call with good wishes. She never missed a party or celebration of any kind and would always arrive early to lend a hand or entertain the children.
All in all, Aunt Frannie is and always has been available to everyone whenever and however she is needed. Whether you were her family, her close friend or just someone in need. This unique, spirited, kindhearted woman's presence in the lives of those who loved her, now remains as a love that will be held in their hearts and memories. She will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege to know and love her.
Frances is survived by her siblings Katherine Morgan, Santo (Carol) Speranza, Mary Ann (Frederick Beaulieu), Josephine MaLossi, her beloved 16 nieces and nephews, and 21 great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends.
She was predeceased by her brothers, John and James Speranza and her sister Elizabeth Burns.
