Frances Jackson, 85, went onto Gods kingdom peacefully on Thursday, December 16, 2010. Frances was born on February 14, 1925 in Gilboa, NY to the late Edward and Fannie Dobson. She loved to travel, take walks for exercise, spend time with her friends but mostly she loved her family and the time she spent with them. In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband of over 46 years, William T. Jackson; her son, Ronald Carter; 10 sisters, including her twin sister and 3 brothers.
Frances is survived by beloved children; Wilbur (JoAnn) Carter, Jr. and Joyce (Charles) Goodbee; her two sisters, Florence Young and Kathryn Christian; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 12pm at Union Baptist Church, 3 Morton Ave., Albany. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 to 12 at church. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in Frances's honor.
