COLONIE – Frances Butor Kayser, of Colonie, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday August 31, 2010 at Barnwell Nursing Facility in Valatie, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the daughter of John and Frances Zvonek Butor. Fran was predeceased by her husband, Christopher M. Kayser, their grandson, Jason Kayser and her beloved sister, Mary Butor Fitzpatrick. Fran attended St. Joseph's Academy in Albany and St. Joseph College High School in Emmetsburg, MD., graduating in 1942. She retired from the New York State Police as a civilian employee in 1983.
Fran is survived by her children, Christine (Charles) Brough of Orlando, FL., Margaret Anne (Peg) Smith and her husband Alan of Kinderhook, Charles (Chuck) Kayser and his wife Debra of Altamont, Rosemary (Honey )Morgan and her husband Stephen of Colonie and Jeffrey Kayser of Colonie. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend their profound appreciation to the staff and residents of Barnwell Nursing Facility for their exceptional care and comfort.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
At Fran's request, and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Daughters of Charity, 333 South Seton Avenue, Emmetsburg, MD 21727 or the New York State Police Investigators Assoc. Emergency Assistance Fund, 96 So. Swan Street, Albany, NY 12210.
