SCHENECTADY – Frances M. Esposito, 89, left this earth on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Santo and Josephine Viviano.
Frances worked for many years for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. She was feisty, bold, fearless, smart and spunky, a talented singer – and an inspiration to her family.
Frances was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Esposito; brothers Gondolfo, Rosario, Salvatore, Rudolph, Andrew, Joseph, and her sister, Lucy.
Frances is survived by her loving daughter, Francine (John) Greene; son, Fortune (Sheila) Esposito; granddaughters Kelly (Robert) Broelmann, and Jenna Esposito; great-grandson Charlie Broelmann; sisters Johanna Busone and Mary Viviano; brother Anthony Viviano and sister-in-law Helen Viviano. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Monday, at the funeral home. A brief Musical Celebration service will be presented by the family at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 – South of Central Ave.), then to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Schenectady, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 am. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
