Frances Delores Richardson

Frances D. Richardson was born on August 20th, 1955 in Armstrong, Alabama, to the late Stoney Sr. & Juanita Richardson. On June 15th, 2023 due to a sudden illness, Frances peacefully departed this life at Albany Medical Center with her loving family at her bedside.

Frances better known as "Frank" was one of eleven siblings who was known for her gorgeous hair, infectious personality and beautiful smile. She was educated in the Albany City School System, graduating from Philip Schuyler High School; where she meet Kenneth May the love of her life who became her life long partner. Two children was bought into this relationship, Sean and Oneal. Together, they had a set of twins, Kendall and Kendra.

After graduating from high school, Frances attended the College Of Saint Rose, Nursing Program. She worked for Albany Medical Center for a few years, and then decided to change her career and went on to work at the NYS Department Of Education, as a executive secretary.

Frances was an avid reader and enjoyed music. If you know Frances, you know she LOVED eating her eating boiled peanuts, fried porgies, or box of starch, something she picked up as a young child coming up from the south. Frances loved spending time with all of her family, but her pride and joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Frances was predeceased by her parents; Stoney Sr. and Juanita Richardson; her siblings; Elvis Richardson, Katie Macon, Matthew Gene and Annie Richardson; In-laws Rendie Rouse Jackson, Jasper Rouse, Ana Michelle Chatman, David Maye and Ezra Brown.

Frances leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life; Kenneth T. Maye, their children, Sean Johnson (Erica Green) of Albany NY, Kendall (Tiffany La Criox-Richardson) of Staten Island NY. Kendra Richardson (Roy D. Clark) of Schenectady, NY; grandchildren Jerome, Keosha, Marquis, Marshay, Amani, Kaleaf, Khyrei, Kygii, Kamille, Melanie, Eshauna and Sean Jr.; Five great grandchildren; sisters, Lorenda Harris (Jerry)Williams of Atlanta GA, and Catherine Richardson of Albany, NY, Patricia Richardson, and Lisa Richardson of Tampa, Florida; brothers, Stoney Jr.(Carol), John, Eddie (Monique) Richardson all of Albany, NY, Melvin (Jeanette) Richardson, of Fayetteville, NC; In -laws, Sharon (Michael) DeVeaux, Janice Rouse-Brown, Darrel Chatman of Schenectady, NY, Two Aunts; Mary Harris (Willie Sr. Dickerson) Of Union Springs, Alabama and Flora Grimes Of Detroit, Michigan and one Uncle; Joe Richardson Of Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 10am-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205. A service begin at 11am at the funeral home with interment following at Graceland Cemetery.
