Frances S. Ramsey

COLONIE, NY – Frances Sybil Ramsey, of Colonie, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2010. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Bessie (Cohen) Pfau. Mrs. Ramsey worked for New York State for 15 years before her retirement. She was the wife of 61 years to Kenneth Ramsey, who predeceased her in May, 2009. Fran is survived by her special niece Kathleen (Dennis) Donohue and her family. She is the sister-in-law of Violet (Corey) Hildebrandt and her family of Albany and Robert (Annette) Ramsey and his family of Tucson, AZ. Fran is the close friend of Beverly Brogin of Esterio, FL, Kathleen Link and Alice Strock. Also surviving are her friends, Beatrice Flood, Mary Duncan, Dorothy Greene, Walter and Jacqueline Guiles and Patricia Fisher. A special thank you is extended to Lynn Larabee, R.N. and home care nurse, Joan Hitt. Many friends and neighbors at Colonie Terrace also survive.
At Fran's request, funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
