Francese L. Desautels

Francese L. Desautels passed away on July 18, 2024. Francese was married to Robert C. Desautels on June 27, 1959, and they spent over 60 years together. Together, they had three children, Michael C. Desautels, 63, Susan Blair, 60, and John B. Desautels who predeceased her in 2003. Francese had three very special grandchildren, Sheryl, Hope and Jonathan whom she cherished. Francese had two brothers, Rosaire and Robert. Francese had a career at Marble Bank in Rutland, Vt. This is now a Citizen's Bank. She retired from Rutland Regional Medical Center after twelve years of work in the latter part of her life. Francese was a cherished employee who worked as the administrative assistant to CFO Ed Dorozelek when she retired in December 2011.

Francese was first diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at the age of 70. Over the course of the next thirteen years, she slowly declined to the point of needing hospice care. Her daughter Susan and partner, Kim, took care of Francese in their own home for a number of years. Francese was full of life, laughter and love and she cared about everyone. She was a very giving person and will be greatly missed.
