Francis B. Keenan

AMSTERDAM, NY – Francis B. Keenan, 71, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, surrounded by his family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Delanson for most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Frank worked for the General Electric Company for 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed wintering at his second home in Florida. Frank was the beloved husband of Janet Keenan who predeceased him in 2001 and Maxine Keenan who predeceased him in January, 2009. He is the devoted father of Lorraine (Fred) Adams of Roanoke, VA, Kathleen (Todd) Roman of Amsterdam, NY and Francis Keenan of Quaker Street, NY. Also surviving are eight grandsons.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at Grove Cemetery, Quaker Street, NY.
