Francis Christopher Ciaccia

Albany- Francis Christopher "Frank" Ciaccia , 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 29, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Frank was the son of the late Charles and Charlotte Ciaccia. Frank was the devoted husband of 48 years to Thelma "Penny" Ciaccia.

Frank served in the United States Army for 4 years. He devoted most of his life working at Grand Union, where he managed numerous stores in the Capital District area. Frank loved to cook, garden, and clean his cars. His meatballs and his scalloped potatoes will be dearly missed. Frank enjoyed vacationing with his family every year in Wildwood, NJ.

Along with his beloved wife Penny, Frank is survived by his children, Tammy (Patrick) Bernard, Glen (Patricia) Roberts, Melodie (Bob) Rowe, Fred (Wendy) Roberts, siblings, Charles (Carol) Ciaccia, and Charlotte Mary (Bob) Marcucci, grand children, Christopher, Nicholas, Tanya, Michael, Nicole, Glen Jr., April, Steven, Tara, and Erica, 12 great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Frank is predeceased by his sister, Dolores (Don) Butner.

A calling hour will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, on Friday, November 2nd, 2018, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a celebration of life service at 10:00 am. The burial will take place following services at 12:00 pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
