Francis Coons

Voorheesville -Francis Coons, (87) was, called to his resting place on March 4, 2022. Francis, was born in Coeymans Hollow, New York on November 18, 1934, to the late Howard Coons Sr. and Beulah Coons.

Francis was a very loving man who cared about everyone's needs. The love and support, for his wife Patricia was everlasting. Francis and Patricia , adopted 14 children, and provided all of the love, one can possibly give. Francis danced to " Butterfly kisses'" with his first daughter to be married. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with the boys. His love for garage sales, lottery, and horse racing were moments to be remembered. He had many life lessons to share, to name a few. " Always be kind", "Use your manners" and "Be humble". He was a #1 fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants, and NY Knicks. His, amazing joy of being a grandfather to his grandchildren will always be remembered by our family.

Francis is predeceased by his loving Wife Patricia of 63 years. Brothers, Roger, Baby "Howard", and VanBuren.

Francis is survived by his, Fourteen adopted Children: Steven (Gail), Kevin (Tracy), Donald, William, Jeffrey, Adam (Melody), Jason, Daniel (Meredith), Tina, Sonya (Jason), Mary Beth, Jeanette (Amin), Naomi (Michael), and Christian. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother, Howard (Peggy) and sister, Bessie.

Francis was an honorable Sergeant in the Marine Corps who served in the Korean War. After his service, his due diligence never stopped. He spent his life helping anyone and everyone who crossed his path or was in need. The family would like to thank all of his doctors for their support, especially Dr. Vivian Smith and Dr. Debra Zimring for their years of care.
