Francis Grattan
October 5, 1925 — June 25, 2013
ALBANY – Francis Grattan, 87, leaves us to join his beloved wife, Patricia Grattan, in heaven. Born in Albany, he was one of the late Cornelius and Jeanette Grattan's eleven children.
Francis was an Army veteran who served in both Korea and WWII. He was a hardworking man that retired with the Fort Orange Paper Company after 30+ years of service. Francis was also a member of the American Legion. He loved his family dearly.
Along with his wife, Francis will join his son Rusty.
He leaves behind sons David and Billy; daughters Cyndi, Patti and Nikki; siblings Dolly and Joey; 13 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews and friends.
He was truly a wonderful man and will never be forgotten. We love you, Dad. R.I.P.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 12:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
