Melrose- Francis "Frank" H. Martin, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, with his loving family by his side.
Frank was born on September 8, 1929, in Cohoes, NY to the late Henry and Leona Martin. Frank served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. After the war Frank went on to work for G.E. at the Knolls Atomic Power Lab in Niskayuna, and Kenneth A. Kesselring Site in West Milton. Frank will be remembered for his smile and his upbeat attitude. His passions in life were his family, his dogs, traveling, and his career.
He is predeceased by his son, Gary Martin, and his daughter, Lynne Aprilliano.
He is survived by his loving wife, Adrienne Rexford-Martin, his children; Diane (Peter) Smiel, David (Laurie) Rexford, and Brian (Catherine) Rexford, his grandchildren; Sabrena (Justin) Timko, Stefanie Smiel, Stacey Smiel, Tina (Philip) Cullum, Danielle Rexford, Jennie Rexford, Matthew Rexford, and Garrett Rexford, his great-grandchildren; Avery and Audrey Timko, Dylan Prentiss, and Parker Cullum, and his sister, Jane Martin.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Friday, June 3, 2016, from 10:00am-11:00am with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford, NY.
