Francis Hoffman

WATERVLIET, NY – Francis J. Hoffman, Jr., 55, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Albany and is the loving son of Francis J. Hoffman, Sr. and the late Catherine Ertel Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman worked for 22 years at the Kenwood Convent in Albany. In addition to his father, he is survived by his beloved wife, Ann (Sawyer) Hoffman. He is the devoted father of Francis J. (Kelly) Hoffman, III and Ann Marie (John) Nielsen. He is the cherished grandfather of Tyler, Kylie, Nathan, Michael, Jonathon and Catherine. He is the brother of William (Jean) Hoffman, Brian M. (Kimberly) Hoffman, Michael H. Hoffman, Joanne (Michael) Fitzpatrick, Catherine (James) Laverty, Judith (Lance) Valderamma and the late Jody Ann Hoffman. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the Kenwood Convent Chapel in Albany. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
