Troy- Francis J. Mancini "Jim", 71, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Friday, June 4, 2021. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Vincent and Gertrude Mancini. Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife JoAnn Mancini (Pollock). He has shown strength and determination after many years of battling illness.
Jim was a Lasalle graduate. He was passionate about helping underserved youth, in partnership with YouthBuild, to help create a meaningful and productive life for youth. He was an amateur fisherman excited to share his hobby with his son and grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his son Beau Mancini and grandchildren Genevieve, Sonya, Brandon, and Mia; his siblings Donna (Bill) Shanahan, Carla (Donald) Roland, Kathy Mancini, Lynell Mancini Canastra, and predeceased by his sister Marye Alissa Mancini. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and life long friends, Scott Ruddy and William Engster.
Services will be held privately, and will include only family, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road Colonie, NY 12205.
