Glenmont- Francis J. Nardolillo, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 6, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born on May 6, 1933 in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late John "Bargey" and Rosemary (Grauer) Nardolillo, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of the South End of Albany. Francis served his country honorably and faithfully during the Korean War in the United States Marine Corps. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and was a POW from October 27, 1952 until the end of the war on August 27, 1953. Francis was a proud member of the American Legion, Joseph E. Zaloga Post #1520, Cpt. William Dale O'Brien Detachment Marine Corps League, and The Lucky Seven, a group of the 7th Marines, 1st squad, 3rd Platoon A Co., 1st battalion. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years, until his retirement. He maintained the relationships he had with his coworkers and met once a month for breakfast with them.
Francis enjoyed trying his luck at the Delmar OTB. He ate breakfast every morning for over 30 years at Stella DelMare.
Family was everything to Francis. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He would look forward to having dinner with the whole family every Sunday at his sister, Queenie's house. Everyone that met Francis instantly liked him, and he will be dearly missed.
Francis is survived by his loving wife Rosemary; his son Michael Schepisi; his step-son Stephano Schepisi; his grandsons: Sean Hunter and Michael Hunter; his siblings: Marie "Queenie" (Tony) Losi, John (Mary) Nardolillo, Helene Scovello, William Nardolillo, Peter (Kate) Nardolillo and Joe Nardolillo; his close friend who was like a brother, Andy Martello and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Francis was predeceased by his sister, Susan Nardolillo; his brother-in-law Michael Scovello; his sister-in-law Carolyn (Meyer) Nardolillo.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm at Christ our Light Catholic Church, 1 Marie Drive, Loudonville on Tuesday, April 11. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, April 12 at the church. Burial with military honors will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

As Francis would always say, "I'll see you when I see you."
