Schaghticoke- Francis P. "Frank" Coluccio, 69, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2006, at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Salvatore and Margaret Coluccio. An avid football player at Vincentian Institute, Frank went on to play for Albany High School during his senior year. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving his country from 1955 to 1959. He was a coach for the Albany National Little League for several years. Frank and his brother, the late Joseph Coluccio, were the Co-Founders of the Capital City Taxi Corp. which was in existence from the early 50's to the late 70's. He went on to own and operate Mr. C's Pub in Mechanicville until his retirement in 2005.
Frank is survived by his son Michael Coluccio; his three daughters, Susan Robbiano, Cindi Coluccio and Lori Coluccio; his two brothers James and Salvatore Coluccio and his sister Mary Hoffman. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews and his companion of 4 years Faith Baker.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211, in memory of Francis P. Coluccio.
