Francis Robert Squadere

Francis Robert Squadere passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025. Husband of the late Donna M. Squadere, he was born in Watervliet, New York August 4,1933: he was the son of the late Anna and Nicholas Squadere. 

Frank was a graduate of Watervliet High School and Ithaca College. As a young man, Frank served in the US Army and professionally was a co-owner of Souder’s Inc. 

Frank was a gregarious, quick-witted man who adored his family and was a constant presence for them. He cherished time with his brothers and friends, especially on the golf course or with fishing pole in hand. Frank had a unique blend of light heart and wisdom that always left a memorable impression. He brought joy to many and will be missed dearly. 

Many thanks to all the angels that helped Frankie along this long journey towards heaven. Your kindness, generosity and help will be remembered by his family forever. 

Frank is survived by his children Michele Squadere Burke (Maurice); Brian Squadere (Jody); and Suzanne Montalbano Costell (Gustav); his seven grandchildren Brianne Burke Niedbalec (Alex); Ryan Burke (Morgan); Thomas Burke; Scott Squadere (Gabi); Nicholas, Sofia and Lucas Montalbano, and Torsten Costell; his brother Larry Squadere, his brother-in-law Dave and his faithful dog Fredo. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on January 10, 2025, from 10AM-11AM at St Clare’s Church, 1947 Central Ave, Colonie; followed by mass at 11AM. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
