- Frank Anthony Testa, 55, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 10, 2015 at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. The son of Leona Testa of Clearwater, FL and the late Francisco Testa, Frank was born in Albany on January 13, 1960. He graduated from Guilderland High School in 1978. He developed a passion for carpentry, eventually becoming a Project Superintendent for BBL Construction. Though remembered for his superior talent, many tradesmen recall how Frank mentored and encouraged them early in their careers.
In 2006, Frank moved to Clearwater Beach, FL, a place he always referred to as paradise. He treated all people with respect no matter if they "lived on Park Ave. or a park bench." Proud to trade in his hammer for a spatula, he enjoyed cooking for the homeless and opening his home to friends and those in need. His eclectic group of family and friends were most important to him, he used any excuse he could to bring everyone together over a homemade feast.
In addition to his mother, Frank is survived by his children: Michael of Santa Cruz, CA, Brendan of Albany, NY and Marissa Testa of New York, NY; his loving sisters: Laurie Fiscaletti of Guilderland, NY and Linda Testa of Rotterdam, NY; his nephews: Jeremy Fiscaletti and Joseph Kral; and niece Lindsey Kral; and great-niece Emma Rose Fiscaletti; and great-nephew Cayden Fiscaletti; and many loving aunts, cousins, and wonderful friends.
Frank will be remembered for his carefree and loving nature and will continue to be loved by his family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday, June 18 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home at 10 am to process to the cemetery for a graveside service to be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 19 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Albany.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Frank's name to the Children's Leukemia Research Association 585 Stewart Avenue, Suite 18, Garden City, NY 11530
